What's billed as the first-ever ranking of peace in the United States finds Florida not-so-peaceable. According to stats from the Institute of Economics and Peace, the Sunshine State ranks 47th in the nation when it comes to rates of crime, incarceration and other factors the group used to rate the states.
Maine was tops; Louisiana was worst. Florida did make it first (actually last) in one category: dead last when it comes to the number of insured.
