Movers and Shakers: Shuffles at Agency for Workforce Innovation, DCF

RJ Myers, who previously worked in the legislative affairs department at the Agency for Workforce Innovation, joined former Weston Rep. Susan Goldstein's consulting firm. Myers replaces Danielle Ochoa as an associate lobbyist at Susan Goldstein Consulting.

Department of Children and Families Secretary David Wilkins added two more staffers to his management team last week. Kristin Vallese, former director of communications for the Florida Association of Counties and Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects, will be the agency's director of executive communication. She will handle correspondence, client relations, and internal and external communications. Vallese was most recently the interim CEO of Florida Children's Services Council. Also joining DCF is John F. Davis, who will be director of external affairs. He is the former president of JFD Consulting Group and a Florida State University grad.

Brittany Birken will take Vallese's place at the helm of the Florida Children's Services Council in July. Birken is the director of the Agency for Workforce Innovation's Office of Early Learning. Before she worked there, she was director of research and development for The Florida Children's Forum. Birken earned her doctorate in child development from FSU.
