Scott letting lawmakers cut back jobs department

Gov. Rick Scott said today he's ok with lawmakers trimming back his so-called commerce department, which would fold together Enterprise Florida and the governor's Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development but no longer include the Agency for Workforce Development.

"It started down the path of getting too big," Scott said of his own plan today.

"It's important, especially to the Senate, which makes sense, that they want us to come back with a plan of how we would do it, which is fine with us," Scott said. "I like working under plans."
