Fasano: 'They do these things Washington. They don't do these things in Tallahasee'

Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey, said senators rejecting a pair of deregulation conforming bills are fighting against the "new" process.

"Some of them were written less than 24 hours ago. That's not the way you run government. They do those things in Washington. They don't do those things in Tallahassee," Fasano said. "It's not good policy, and sadly it's backfired.

"I believe a lot of those votes were more a message than anything else. The no votes from Senate members," Fasano said.

Message to who?

"The process. This new process we saw this year.

"We should not be in this situation. You have a super majority of members in the Florida House and the Florida Senate, and sadly we're having a difficult time in getting out on time," Fasano said. "To me, this is unprecedented when you have that many members of the same part and you're unable to finish up."
