Herald investigation: Neglected to death

As the Senate debates a bill to limit the liability of hospitals when their contracted doctors do harm, we call your attention to the Miami Herald investigation of Florida's assisted-living facilities. Reporters Carol Marbin Miller, Rob Barry and Mike Sallah found that Florida's safeguards, once hailed as the nation's best, have been ignored in a spate of tragedies that have never before been revealed to the public.
