NBC is billing it as the "first debate" between Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her GOP counterpart, Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus.
"As the 2012 campaign kicks into high gear, the two national party chairs square off on the key issues of the election year," NBC says.
The Sunday morning faceoff comes as Politico rips the Broward Democrat's first weeks in her new position, noting she's made a number of gaffes that fact checking sites and Republicans have decried. The Orlando Sentinel also tsk-tsked the party chair last week for "gaffes" it said were embarassing her party.
