Miami-Dade school board member in skirmish with county inspector general

What do you do if you’re an elected official and you get a slap on the wrist from the inspector general?

In Miami-Dade, you go after the inspector general.

This month, Miami-Dade Inspector General Chris Mazzella said School Board member Renier Diaz de la Portilla violated School Board rules and procurement procedures when he sent a mailer to Republican voters in 2009.

Diaz de la Portilla responded by calling the inspector general’s office “a wasteful, taxpayer-funded kangaroo court that answers only to the whims of its leader, Mr. Chris Mazzella.”

Diaz de la Portilla is now questioning whether the school district should continue its relationship with the county watchdog.

The inspector general's office is full of incompetent ruthless people. They pick and choose who they will go after - it is all political and rotten to the core. Just go to these links ans see for yourself.
