Miami in the White House for tonight's state dinner

The White House is throwing a State Dinner tonight for German chancellor Angela Merkel and South Florida is well represented:

From the White House guest list: Mr. Jeremy Alters, Hallandale Beach, Ms. Lina Guerrero, Miami, Mr. Stephen Bittel, Miami Beach and Mrs. Sabine Bittel, Coconut Grove.

Also attending: new Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and her husband, Steven. The White House pool report singled the Broward congresswoman out for the best non-answer/biggest dodge of the night: Asked "Who are you wearing tonight?" as she walked into the White House, Wasserman Schultz replied, "Thank you very much."
