Former Fort Lauderdale state Sen. Mandy Dawson has been arrested on a federal tax-evasion charge more than a year after she was linked to the corruption against against a former Broward opthalmologist.
Dawson's bust is no surprise. In March, we reported the feds asked for Dawson's oaths of office. And in January 2009, we broke the story about how the feds swooped into Tallahassee and asked about Dawson's time in the Legislature, where she was innefective, unlucky and potentially corrupt.
Sadly, it's not surprising (as you point out). The folks in DC often say 'do as I say' and not 'do as I do'.
