New GOP prez hopeful Buddy Roemer campaigns v. "clowns" in DC

There's a new Republican presidential candidate Buddy Roemer, former Louisiana governor and congressman, who just appeared on Greta Van Susteren, where he served up some old-fashion Southern populism. He said American jobs are being shipped overseas because of unfair foreign labor practices, oil subsidies should be changed and Washington is a freakshow.

"It's a circus. These people are clowns. They're wearing makeup. They don't tell truth," he said. "The problem is we are giving our jobs away."

Roemer blamed many of America's problems on "big corporations...they give money to the politicians," said Roemer, who pledged to only take contributions of $100 or less. "You cant take money from the lobbyists," he said.

It does not include those that have not been in the job market in the last 30 days: people who have given up looking; those that have gone off unemployment because it has run out.
