Once again, George LeMieux is going to the Charlie Crist money well as he marches toward a big fundraising quarter.
A fundraiser next week will be held at the Tampa home of Don Phillips, a developer whom Crist appointed to the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority. Phillips contributed $4,800 to Crist's Senate run last year, records show.
An invite shows shows other Crist appointee, USF trustee Rhea Law, who is CEO of Fowler White Boggs Banker law firm. Then there's John Ramil, a TECO executive who also contributed $4,800 to Crist's Senate bid.
LeMieux recently held a fundraiser in Pensacola that was dotted with Crist supporters.
LeMieux has turned on the former governor (or rather, he says Crist turned on him and the Republican Party) but appears to be using the donor network he helped cultivate as a top Crist strategist.
