U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the House Democratic whip, will be in Miami next week to hold a fundraiser for Luis Garcia, who is running against Rep. David Rivera for Congress.
Hoyer will hold a lunch for Garcia at Novecento in Brickell next Wednesday. Looks like they're looking for checks ranging from $500 to $2,500. The invitation is here.
Garcia is a state representative and former Miami Beach city commissioner and fire chief.
