Miami-Dade delegation picks vice-chairman

In Tallahassee Wednesday, Miami-Dade lawmakers chose a delegation vice-chair: Rep. Jose Felix Diaz, a Miami Republican going into his sophomore legislative session.

Diaz received 15 votes. In second place: Rep. Dwight Bullard, a South Miami-Dade Democrat who is running for state Senate next year.

Chairman Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, R-Miami, was automatically reelected last week after no one else was nominated for the post.
