Jon Huntsman's campaign dies in South Carolina

on S. Huntsman, who was supposed to be the top Republican challenger but never was, will drop out of the race tomorrow.

The former ambassador to China first rooted his hopes in Florida, where his wife was from, but  repositioned himself in New Hampshire after failing to catch fire. He came in third in last week's primary, declaring he had a "ticket to ride" to South Carolina.

But six days before the Palmetto State primary, Huntsman is finished. He's going to throw his support to Mitt Romney.
