Marco Rubio hosts fundraiser...for Miami-Dade property appraiser hopeful

If you're Marco Rubio -- Republican U.S. senator from Florida, national party figure, on the vice-presidential short list -- you host a lot of prominent fundraising events.

And also, it seems, one for a candidate for ... Miami-Dade property appraiser.

Rubio will be the "special guest" at a reception Monday at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables for state Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, a term-limited Miami Republican challenging Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia.

Rubio and Lopez-Cantera served together in the Florida House, and their friendship dates back to the mid-1990s, when they volunteered on political campaigns together.

If he is a friend of Rubio then he is NOT my candidate. Rubio is anti-hispanic, anti-health care, anti-dream act, anti-immigration reform anti-everything that is meaningful to the hispanic community.
