The President will address the shooting in Aurora, Colorado this morning in remarks from Fort Myers, Florida and then return to the White House, cutting short a two day campaign swing.
He's scheduled to speak at Harbor Side Event Center in Ft. Myer at 11:20 a.m., and the campaign says he'll return to the White House after the event, cancelling an event in Winter Park, Fla.
Obama was notified of the shooting in Colorado at 5:26 a.m. today by his Homeland Security Advisor John Brennan, Press Secretary Jay Carney said.
He issued a statement shortly after, saying he and First Lady Michelle Obama were "shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my Administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time.
"We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded. As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family. All of us must have the people of Aurora in our thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come."

Although the so-called "moral issues" were raised, in view of the law of natural selection it was agreed that a nation or world of people who will not use their intelligence are no better than animals who do not have intelligence. Such people are beasts of burden and steaks on the table by choice and consent.
Consequently, in the interest of future world order, peace, and tranquility, it was decided to privately wage a quiet war against the American public with an ultimate objective of permanently shifting the natural and social energy (wealth) of the undisciplined and irresponsible many into the hands of the self-disciplined, responsible, and worthy few.
In order to implement this objective, it was necessary to create, secure, and apply new weapons which, as it turned out, were a class of weapons so subtle and sophisticated in their principle of operation and public appearance as to earn for themselves the name "silent weapons."
