Bill Clinton coming to Miami for Obama

Former president Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Florida International University at 5:30 p.m., according to Obama For America.

Today, Obama for America announced that President Bill Clinton will campaign in Florida next week. On Tuesday, September 11, President Clinton will deliver remarks at a campaign event in the Miami area, and on Wednesday, September 12, President Clinton will deliver remarks at a campaign event in the Orlando area. Details on President Clinton’s campaign travel to Florida are forthcoming.

Governor to launch 'education listening tour' starting Monday

Gov. Rick Scott's office announced today, yes Saturday, that beginning this Monday, he will embark on an education "listening tour" to hear from teachers, students and parents about their ideas "to improve Florida's education system."

No details or locations have been announced, but the governor will write a blog about the events and a film crew will document the meetings and post them on the governor's education blog "once the students edit and finish the video,'' the governor's press release says. No word on who is paying for this yet.

Since the release of his 2012-13 budget, the governor has increased his focus on education as a backstop to his focus on job creation. 

Obama's 'si se puede'? 'Ya no más,' Romney's new Spanish-language ad says

Mitt Romney isn't giving Hispanics much to vote for in his latest spot. But he's giving them something to vote against: Barack Obama.

Where Obama said "Yes we can" in Spanish, Romney is saying "No more" in his latest spot, "Ya No Más," which raps Obama for promising much and delivering relatively little in comparison.

Is this about getting the Hispanic vote, or simply getting it not to show up in droves for Obama?
