The Republican Jewish Coalition has announced a $5 million ad buy and new TV spot that's running in Jewish-heavy South Florida as well as OH NV & PA.The ad. It takes President Obama to task for his stance on using the 1967 borders as a negotiation starting point between Israelis and Palestinians (a longstanding U.S. policy), for having frosty relations with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and for presiding over a generally bad economy.
Jewish voters tend to be overwhelmingly Democratic (especially in Democrat-heavy South Florida) and, despite Republican efforts, they seem to overwhelmingly favor President Obama over Mitt Romney by a 70-27% split, according to the latest Gallup survey.
