Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's 12-year-old daughter suffered a concussion in a crash involving a golf cart at a gated community, according to friends.
Rubio's daughter, Amanda, was flown to Miami Children's hospital, near the family's home, after the accident. She's in fair but stable condition in the pediatric intensive-care unit, and she's "fine" and improving, family friend Rebeca Sosa, a Miami-Dade County commissioner, told reporters.
Sosa initially said the motor vehicle was a "tennis cart," but she misspoke and meant "golf cart.".
"She had a concussion. She's doing better," Sosa told El Nuevo Herald. "And we thank everyone for your prayers and your support for the family. And we hope that she's going to be OK very soon."
Sosa made her comments at Miami Children's Hospital on Saturday evening. By that point Sen. Rubio, who had been on the campaign trail with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Tampa Bay, had returned to Miami.
"The family is next to her. And he's already in the hospital," Sosa said. "She's fine."
According to BuzzFeed, President Obama and Vice President Biden called Rubio to wish him well.

God is with her and she wil be fine. God Bless her
