Ron Gunzburger, the political maestro behind Democrat Scott Israel toppling Republican Broward Sheriff Al Lamberti, has been named General Counsel and Senior Advisor to the Sheriff, with Commander rank. Gunzburger, son of Broward County Commissioner Sue Gunzburger, previously served as general counsel to Broward Property Appraiser Lori Parrish. He also worked in the past for members of Congress Clay Shaw (R-Fort Lauderdale) and Dick Gephardt (D-Missouri) and runs the Politics1 website.
BSO's current general counsel Judith Levine has announced her resignation effective Jan. 7th.

Good first step Scott, I hope you clean house especially all the people that shamed the Office with there close association to felons.

It was a remarkable feat to get rid of the sitting sheriff who used his shield to deflect his scandalous behavior. Now we know his 527 organization failed to report that huge contributions came in from vendors who in return receive big fat contracts from BSO. That's one way to do it when you don't have the Ponzi scheme money to spend. I hope Gunzburger brought a broom with him to work because there is a lot of cleaning up to do.

The dirty Maroone deal that Lamberti made was the worst. Taxpayers paid more for each car and Maroone just got richer and padi off Lamberti. Al Lamberti has shafted Broward citizens for the last time.
