We said Monday that the 2014 Florida governor's race was underway.
More evidence emerged last night at the White House, where former Republican-turned-independent Gov. Charlie Crist officially announed he'd become a Democrat. It's no shock, considering all the time he spent on the campaign trail and his speech at the Democrats' convention for President Obama.
Also no surprise: The Republican Party of Florida, a once-pro-Crist political cult that's now a pro-Rick Scott political cult, attacked him as a liar:
Charlie vs. Charlie
Charlie Crist's first official act as a Democrat was to tell a lie about why he is now pretending to be one. The truth is that this self-professed, Ronald-Reagan Republican only abandoned his pro-life, pro-gun, conservative principles in 2010 after he realized that Republicans didn't want to send him to Washington D.C. as a senator, especially after he proved he couldn't do the job as governor.

The RPOF needs new leadership. This constant knee jerk reaction every time Crist makes a move is pathetic. Thanks to the RPOF Crist is relevant.

Well, it's no surprise that the Republican party is turning the screws as Charlie, the Worm, turns.

You left out one important factor. His hand picked Chairman Jim Greer led the sheep to slaughter. By the way, where is Jim Greer now?

This attack shows how scared the are, no one like Rick Scott and Crist can beat him hands down.

Except that any good (and real) Democrat can probably beat Scott, if the Democrats are bright enough to nominate a good candidate.
They need someone who is: a) not a banker, b) not a lawyer, and c) not a long-time politician. Pretty much, any decent Democrat business-owner would do.
Notice that Shucking Chuckles is both b) and c) and he might well not be able to beat Scott after the Republican campaign finishes reminding voters about how Charlie has always talked out of both sides of his mouth.

Replace Charlie Crist with Mitt Romney in this article and you have pretty much the same thing.

President Obama just won Florida. I will be voting for Charlie. I would vote for a dead person before I would vote for "Penis-Head" Rick Scott.

Sorry Charlie. I don't forget.
You shape shifted to appease McCain to be his Vice Presidential nominee by getting married to a woman all so you could appear "normal" on the national stage.
People remember your exploits on the Tampa/St. Pete gay bar scene. What won't you say or do to get what you want?...and shame on the Florida Democratic Party for courting this hypocrite opportunist. It was just two years ago that you were jamming Kendrick Meek down everyone's throat and chastising everyone who felt differently about him. The party is just as guilty and will fail again!

My prayer for the day.
Please, dear God, let the Democratic Party support anyone but Charlie Crist to run against Rick Scott for governor!

Fool is an appropriate name if you are planning on voting for Rick Scott. No doubt Charlie has his faults but I would vote for roach before I voted for Scott.

The problem with the Democrats in Florida is that they would rather have a squirming worm like Charlie as Governor, because they think he's a sure win, than a decent, real Democrat.
That kind of thinking is the same mentality that lost them hegemony over elective state offices statewide over the last 15 to 20 years.
It was and is so bad that Scott, even with that ugly cloud of health-care business fraud hanging over his head, was still able to get elected.
But we don't really expect a bunch of left wing, true-believing Democrat activists to see beyond beating Scott, do we? They are no better than those right-wing true-believers who were devoted to beating Obama, no matter who they nominated to do it.

Scott does not stand a chance at being re-elected. I don't know a soul that likes him. He has screwed Fl. starting with the train. He was proud of 200 jobs in Melbourne but let 75,000 job go when he let the money for the train go to California.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES FLORIDA!
