UPDATED: Scott, Bush had a "very productive" conversation about education

We asked Gov. Rick Scott's office for a report on last night's meeting with former Gov. Jeb Bush, state Sen. John Thrasher and state Board of Education Chairman Gary Chartrand.

Here's the 10-word response we got back from spokeswoman Jackie Schutz: "They had a very productive conversation about education in Florida."

The private meeting took place at an undisclosed location in Miami at 6 p.m.

No other details have been released.

Parent groups and Democrats were critical of the backroom huddle, particularly because Scott did not attend the three-day education summit he convened in Clearwater earlier in the week.

UPDATE: The meeting was held at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, where Bush keeps an office, according to an email from Schutz.

Can't take anymore

I guess Herr Scott got the low down on how to loot government funds from education from the master, JEB! Scott already knows how to loot federal health care money and now there is another potential fortune to be made in the "charter" school business. No federal oversight on this scam where no one will look at what the kids are learning and outrageous salaries to executives are the norm. What a perfect pair of hustlers!

so, did Scott have a sign around his neck that said "Jeb's Biotch" when he walked out of the meeting?
did they "agree" on a new short term Commish of Ed? (as in Jebbie's pick)...
not since the smokefilled rooms at Tammany Hall have we been locked out of the conversation about ANY policy...this is beyond shady and sketchy and just might hover around wrong.
