Stark cancels fundraiser on news of his intern's death

Rep. Richard Stark, the Weston Democrat whose intern was found dead Tuesday by Tallahassee police in an abandoned Tallahassee building, cancelled his scheduled fundraiser for his campaign in light of the developments. Story on Ryan Uhre here.

Here is Stark's note to his supporters:

Friends and Supporters,

Today I learned of the tragic death of Ryan Uhre, a young man who served in my legislative office as an intern.

In light of this news, I am canceling tonight's fundraiser for my campaign.

I encourage you to keep Ryan's family in your prayers tonight, and over the coming days.

Stark's act of decency ought to be a lesson on dignity in politics to that floozy, Pam Bondi.

I understand the Representative and Ryan's family are close. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends in this tough time.
