The L.A. Times reports The Departed screenwriter William Monahan has begun working on a potential sequel to the movie. No word yet on whether Martin Scorsese will be involved - or whether there will be any Xs in it.

How can there be a sequel to The Departed? The only actor they can bring back is Mark Wahlberg!
