The stand-alone cut of Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, which clocks in at 127 minutes (or 40 minutes longer than the version seen in Grindhouse), premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this week, awesomely retitled Boulevard de la Mort. Premiere's Glenn Kenny was there and liked what he saw.
No word yet on whether U.S. audiences will have a chance to see the long version in theaters - doubtful, considering Grindhouse's weak box-office grosses - but it's practically guaranteed to hit DVD later this year.
