Public Enemies, director Michael Mann's adaptation of Bryan Burrough's book about the attempts of government agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) during the 1930s to bring down a trio of notorious gangsters - John Dillinger (played by Johnny Depp, shown above on the set), Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum) and Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) - is coming to Miami at the end of June to film several scenes.
The makers of the star-studded production (which co-stars Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, Billy Crudup, Lili Taylor and Giovanni Ribisi) are looking for antique automobiles, trucks and buses from 1925-1938 to use during filming. If you own one, e-mail photos of it to pechicago@gmail.com and maybe you'll get to see your wheels on the big screen when the film opens next summer.

I'd like to know when they are coming to Miami to film. I guess it's pretty hard to know the exact dates. All types of things can change production. I'm hoping I get the wonderful chance to meet Johnny. :)

So that's why the cars in the movie look authentic; because they were. I saw the movie, and it's very intriguing. Although, I really can't shake the feeling that Johnny Depp is still using a little bit of Jack Sparrow in that movie, in small instances when he talks, but maybe that's just me.
