The new trailer for "Watchmen"

Wm_silk_2 The new Watchmen trailer playing in front of Quantum of Solace this weekend is even better than the first, although I kinda miss the Smashing Pumpkins song from the previous trailer. The new one uses pieces of Philip Glass' score for Koyaanisqatsi, which is one of the great movie scores of all time, but it's been overused.

None of this takes away from the excitement this new trailer generates. Man, it looks like Zack Snyder has nailed it, squid or no squid.

Man that movie looks FANTASTIC. It truly looks like Snyder has nailed this. Everything looks just so beyond perfect! March can't get here fast enough. As for the squid, the main message of the obok is still perfectly in tact. So if it's delivered by another means, that's jsut fine with me.

Now that Star Trek trailer....absolutely incredible. I saw it before th enew Bond movie tonight and I was left utterly speechless. J.J. Abrams really looks to have not only given new, unexpected breath to Star Trek, but to have re-invented the whole damn thing! If there was EVER a franchise that needed new blood to it, Star Trek was it. It really looks incredible. 2009 is shaping up to be an interesting year at the movies!
