Life after ''Basterds''

Christoph_waltz Nikki Finke reports actor Christoph Waltz will follow up his memorable performance as the snaky Col. Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds by playing another baddie. Waltz has been cast as the main villain in The Green Hornet, which is currently filming with Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz and Jay Chou as Kato.

Even with Michel Gondry directing (and that awesome theme song), I remain completely apathetic toward the prospect of a Green Hornet movie. The whole thing just has an aura of dud about it. That's not based on anything other than my own gut instinct. And the addition of Waltz - not exactly a daring or creative bit of casting - just makes it all seem more ho-hum.

Juan

He was SOOOOOO good in Basterds. He's garaunteed an Oscar nomination. Good on him for landing the role. My problem with Green Hornet is, I still for the life of me cant see Seth Rogen in the role. I just cant picture it at all. Gondry being the director is the only thing that has be curious about this movie, the rest of it does sound like a dud. Though Waltz being in it does improve it a bit if you ask me. That is a bingo!
