An airport is renamed in honor of a president -- and a secretary of state

Another airport has been renamed in honor of a former president, but in this case, a current Cabinet member is also being honored: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Tuesday, the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission voted to change the name of Little Rock National Airport to Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. The change isn’t official yet – it still requires approval by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Clinton is not the first former president to have an airport named for him. Other presidents so honored include George Bush (Houston), Ronald Reagan (Washington), Gerald Ford (Grand Rapids, Michigan), John F. Kennedy (New York), Theodore Roosevelt (Dickinson, North Dakota) and Abraham Lincoln (Springfield, Ill.).
