HEAT: D-Wade's Halloween Costume

Before Dwyane Wade took his talents to Newark and dropped 17 pts, 6 reb and 7 assists on the Nets, he attended a Halloween/Birthday party for his girlfriend Gabrielle Union.

The party was Friday after the Heat's victory versus the Orlando Magic.

So, what did Wade dress up as?

Justin Timberlake.

Ron Jaworski gives his thoughts on Dolphins

Ron Jaworski joined the show this morning and gave us his thoughts on the Dolphins thus far this season.

Here's what Jaws had to say:

Jorge Sedano: What did you make of the victory against Green Bay?

Ron Jaworski: “The key when you win a game like this, clearly Lambeau field is a difficult place to play; it’s a hostile environment and the packers have had great success there, but when you win a game like that it will pay huge dividends down the road. It seems like every week there are dog fights in the national football league, but the dolphins now have in their memory bank, a victory at Lambeau Field, on the road against a quality football team. So there’s going to be games down the road that they can reach back in that reservoir and say we’ve been there, we’ve done that , we will pull it out. So they can think very positively down the road in tough games because they’ve done it.”

Jorge Sedano: What about Henne’s play?

Ron Jaworski: “I think he’s been inconsistent and quite honestly I thought he would be a little more consistent at this point in his career. I’m a huge Chad Henne fan but as I study him I still need to see more week in and week out quality play. I think the skill set is there, the balance on the offense is there, but I think Chad just has to be more consistent.”

Jorge Sedano: Sparano said that their team is built to fight 15 rounds and be patient and try to win it in the end. That almost seems like an indictment on Henne because if you’ve got the right guy at that position, you don’t take that approach to games right?

Ron Jaworski: “I would agree with you there. When you have this receiving core you’ve got to give Brandon Marshall some opportunities to make plays. I’m a huge fan of Davone Bess. I think he is one of the best slot receivers in the NFL. People talk about Wes Welker, but when you look at Davone Bess, he’s very quarterback friendly and he knows how to make himself available to the quarterback quickly. You’ve got guys like that; Brian Hartline a solid wide receiver. Anthony Fasano can give you the big plays on occasion, but when you’ve got a Brandon Marshall, to me he is a play maker. He brings energy to their offense. You’ve got to find ways and design ways to get him the football. That falls on Dan Henning, the offensive coordinator, to get him involved in the offense. You can’t hide your quarterback in this league; you’ve got to find ways to get the ball to Brandon Marshall.”

Jorge Sedano: I don’t think the Dolphins know what their personality is. They were a running team before, but what is the Dolphins offensive personality since Marshall’s been here?

Ron Jaworski: “I think they do need an identity, and I think you are absolutely right on spot when you talk about historically, what this team has been. They have been a team under Tony Sparano. Let’s play good defense, let’s run the football. We’ve got Ronnie, we’ve got Ricky; let’s run our wildcat, let’s keep the game close and find a way to win. I am an absolute believer that good running teams always keep the game close. Sooner or later to win games, to be a championship football team, you’ve got to be explosive in the passing game. Yeah, you can run the football, and I’m a big believer in the running game, but points come out of the passing game. This league is about explosive plays. You’ve got to run the football when you get a lead, that’s the key. Get points early, and then run the rock.”

LeBron fights back at racist tweets

Many athletes get all kinds of unnecessary and ridiculous hate on Twitter.

We've seen Jacory Harris be the recipient of such hate on social media.

LeBron James is no different.

This afternoon LeBron, fought back and put one of what I assume are many, "Haters" out there into cyberspace. He decided to retweet what the person wrote to him.

@RyanOutrich Ryan Outrich
by KingJames
@KingJames continuation to my last tweet, u r a big nosed big lipped bug eyed (racial slur). ur greedy, u try to hide ur ghettoness.

LeBron, then decided to tweet his feelings about the situation:

@KingJames LeBron James
U see world how people feel! Just use it as extra motivation in whatever u do best! No one can stop your dreams from becoming reality!

This is the unfortunate ugly side to social media. Along with, being accesible to... well, everyone.

You have to deal with ignorance and blind hatred.

It's still amazing to me that, the worst thing LeBron has ever done is some silly TV show and this is the kind of reaction he's still receiving.

It also goes to show how misguided some people's anger and energy are in this day and age.

HEAT: ESPN's Sheridan: LeBron was jealous of Wade

ESPN NBA Sr. Writer Chris Sheridan joined us this morning on the show and had an interesting tidbit about, "The Three Kings," attitude toward each other during the decision process.

Chris Sheridan comments about Lebron being the focal point of the venom and how there was some jealousy towards Wade.

"When this whole thing was being debated, I know there was discussion among those three that Lebron and Chris were a little bit jealous of Wade, because Dwyane didn't have to be the bad guy.

He was the guy who stayed home. Whereas the other two guys had to abandon their cities and make their move.

They were a little jealous of Dwyane at the begining and obviously, it's something they got over.

"With everything about the decision, he became the lightening rod for criticism more than anybody else, more than Pat Riley. With Chris Bosh, (his thought were) none of this anger is towards me. (So, he) sat back and thinks he will get it twice a year in Toronto.

Where as Lebron is going to get it twice a year in Cleveland, twice a year in New York and is going to get to a lesser degree in other places around the country. Because he is an athlete who has gone from most liked to one of the most disliked over the course of one offseason, again that benefits bosh he can quietly put up his 18 and 10."

CHRIS SHERIDAN W SEDANO - LEBRON & BOSH JEALOUS OF WADE - 10-13-10

Now, for accuracies sake, Sheridan did say later that there are no jealousy issues at this point. Though, it was something that allegedly came up during free agency.

John Clayton on GB, Henne, Parcells & Carl Peterson

ESPN Insider John Clayton joined me on the show today  for his weekly appearance (Wednesday's at 9:00am) to talk about the Miami Dolphins, here is what we talked about:

What is the status of Aaron Rodgers this week? It’s very questionable; don’t know if he will be able to practice today or tomorrow. It will be similar situation with Jay Cutler.

In regards to Chad Henne, have they internally considered benching him? It will be stupid, if you’re conceding on Chad Henne, you’ll be giving up on the development, your pretty much give up on the season. He is the future in a quarterback driven league, you can go to Chad Pennington, and hope to get through and manage some games. But this whole administration was built and geared on building a left tackle and the next quarterback. The stats aren’t bad, he has a good completion percentage, he is on a nice pace statistically the problem is points scored. You have to wonder if that is a developmental thing; if it’s an internal thought you have to get it out of your system. Having a new owner that’s judging where this group is going, that’s not going to help things.

Is Carl Peterson on the horizon for this team? If there was going to be a change he would be the likely candidate, because he has a great relationship with Stephen Ross. He has a fantastic track record as far as success in the NFL. He knows what he is doing; he has been a great administrator for the longest period of time. If there were to be any change he would be the likely candidate to come in and set up is own administration.

Did Parcells run for the hills on this one? To me it’s the timing of it all, because in his contract he was able to do what he was wanted to do. He had 3 million dollars guaranteed, by staying on as a consultant; he hasn’t run he is still available. But the timing of the announcement promoted the idea of possible change. I think the timing of it all has put everyone in jeopardy.

I’ve heard that there was a rift between him and Ireland about taking credit on the good stuff and Ireland getting credit for the bad stuff, have you heard anything on it?

No, I haven’t heard anything on it, that the thing when you have a Bill Parcells run team, you don’t hear a lot he knows how to plug all the leaks. I think it’s interesting that Bill said he will be doing something in the league next year, for ESPN or whoever he isn’t retiring. He signed on to be the man with Wayne Huizenga.
