Video: Barkley tells Miami crowd they're #1

A lot has been made of how the Miami crowd treated Charles Barkley on the set of TNT's post game. TNT set up their broadcast outside the AAA.

Barkley has been quite vocal about the Heat this season. It's safe to say most fans feel he's been overly negative towards the team and the city.

Yesterday, that all came to a head outside of the arena.

Here's a video (a listener named Claudia sent us) before the post game show started of Barkley retaliating (having some fun with the fans), by giving them the two gun salute (Bryan Cox would be proud).

It even seemed like Chuck got a chuckle out of it...

I don't condone people throwing things at him... even a t-shirt as you see in this video.

I think fans should be able to give it to him, as long as, it's in good taste.

Joel Anthony's impact & not buying the Bulls

TNT NBA Analyst Steve Kerr joined us this morning on the Jorge Sedano Show on 790 The Ticket. We chatted with him on numerous subjects. The subject matter included, Joel Anthony's impact on the court, the Bulls struggles against the Pacers and how the Bulls compare to the LeBron led Cavs.

Yesterday, Heat fans chanted MVP for, "The Warden," Joel Anthony at the free throw line. Now, We can all get a chuckle out of that. I get it. Though, Joel could be considered the Defensive MVP for Miami. Kerr, gives us his thoughts on Joel's impact. (Click on link below)

STEVE KERR W SEDANO - JOEL ANTHONY'S DEFENSIVE IMPACT - 4-19-11

For Miami to reach the NBA Finals they would have to likely meet the Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Bulls have struggled some here in the first round. Kerr weighs in on Chicago's struggles. (click on link below)

STEVE KERR W SEDANO - BULLS STRUGGLES VS PACERS - 4-19-11

Finally, I have said numerous times on the show that I feel like this Bulls team reminds me a lot of the LeBron led Cavs. A one star, defensive minded team that struggles to score and could end up being just a regular season wonder. Kerr, a former Bull gives us his thoughts.

STEVE KERR W SEDANO - BULLS COMPARABLE TO LEBRON'S CAVS - 4-19-11

Mashburn doesn't regret pass to Spoon or tenure in Miami

Jamal Mashburn joined the Jorge Sedano Show on 790 The Ticket this morning to discuss the current Miami HEAT team as well as, his tenure in Miami.

Mashburn on if those series vs Knicks or pass to Weatherspoon still haunts him:

"Trust me, I'm not haunted by anything I've done in my professional (or college) basketball career. There are very few people that can ever say that they played at the level I attained to play at.

I really enjoyed my time in Miami, regardless of our losses against the Knicks or me passing up a shot to Clarence Weatherspoon. That's a teammate of mine and I'm an unselfish player.

At the end of the day, for me it's been a heck of an experience being a part of the NBA and playing twelve years. I really enjoyed myself. So, It's all good in my book.

I asked Mashburn if there's anything he'd do differently or hit the reset button on...

"I wouldn't reset it. At the end of the day, It's my career and I own my career. When I got traded from the Miami HEAT I became an All Star for the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets. So, my career was very successful. I enjoyed all the relationships and being with Pat Riley. So, it's been fun."

Judging by the reaction of my audience, people are still angry at Mashburn. It seems that old wounds don't heal as quickly as one would think.

So, are you at peace with Mashburn or does it still bother you that he passed the ball to Clarence Weatherspoon?

LeBron joins a dance class

Saw this video at TerezOwens.com.

Apparently, LeBron surprised one of the writers for the "Ellen Show," at her Zumba dance class at Equinox here in Miami.

What do you think of his moves? I think he might have done The Dougie at one point!

Mike Miller on his play and Udonis Haslem

Mike Miller joined us on the Jorge Sedano Show on 790 The Ticket this morning. He chatted with us on a number of subjects including, his play/shot selection, Udonis Haslem's timetable, the Knicks struggles and his Gators.

When asked if he's comfortable taking the type of shots he's taking (spot up as opposed to coming off screens) he responded, "Coming off screens is more of a rhythm thing. My role is not the same as it's been in the past and I knew that before I signed up here. It's going to mostly catch & shoot stuff and they're going to be shots (available) sporadically. It's nothing like I've done in the past, but it's what I signed up for and I got to go out there and do my job."

Miller on taking less shots than he's accustomed to:

"It's tough. Obviously, it's tough, but at the same time there's only so many shots in the game. You're only going to score so many points in the game. Here we've got two of the top 5 scorers in the league and a third guy averging almost 20 points a game there's 70 points a game. You're only going to get some many points, shots and that's just the way the game of basketball is. Obviously, when you're out there for your 14-20 minutes you have to be aggressive. That hasn't been my nature in the past. So, it's been a little difficult and at teh same time it's noty an excuse and it's not a crutch. You go out ther and you know what you signed up for and as long as we're winning games I'm happy."

Miller on making sure Udonis comes back when he's phsyically ready:

"I've actually talked to him a couple of times about it and the problem with me, is that he looks at me like I'm crazy because, I've done the same thing. He'll do the smart thing and he'll talk to the doctors and (find out) if there's any way of making it worse and hinder (his) career in the future? If the answer is just pain tolerance, you're going to see Udonis Haslem back. Because he's not going to worry about how much it hurts."

Miller on the expectations for Haslem:

"I think he brings a lot. Not only a voice (because of the respect level), but  he's going to bring Udonis Haslem. Anyone, who has seen him for the last 8 years realizes what he brings. He brings defensive toughness. You can put him on anyone on the floor and he's going to do his job. He's going to take charges and do a lo tof the little things. The stuff that the rest of us need to do anyways. He's also going to give those guys an option on the pick & roll, because he'll make plays out of that and make jumpers out of that. And, ofcourse he do whatever it takes to rebound the basketball. He'll bringa  lot to the table and I don't think you'll see anything different when he comes back."

HEAT: Mike Bibby's Agent seeks buyout

The Heat desperately need a point guard. Last night's loss to the Knicks proves what it means to have someone in such a position.

After the Knicks game, Chris Bosh mentioned that point guard is the most important position on the floor. His comments came after someone asked him how Chauncey Billups play impacted the game in the fourth quarter?

Maybe, he was elluding to the Heat's lack of poise at that position?

Who knows?

Either way, here's the latest on Bibby from the Washington Post:

According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Bibby's agent, David Falk, plans to meet with Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld on Monday to discuss a possible buyout. The person requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the negotiations.

The two sides have had preliminary discussions, according to two league sources, but no formal proposals have been made. Bibby makes $5.8 million this season and is on the books for $6.4 million next season. Bibby would have to sacrifice a lot of money and get waived by Tuesday in order to be eligible to join a playoff team this season.

Portland, Miami and Boston are reportedly interested in signing Bibby if he can reach an agreement. Grunfeld has said he wouldn't close the door on any situation as it relates to a buyout.

Make sure you stay with us on 790 The Ticket for the latest on possible buyout situations and the latest on the Miami Heat.

Wade & LeBron All Star Starters (Plus Photos)

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James will join Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose and Amar'e Stoudemire for the East squad.

The Western Conference All Stars will include Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Yao Ming.

Yao will be replaced due to injury.

Could Carmelo end up on the Eastern team after a possible trade? How would that work? Would he be a reserve? That's definitely uncharted waters for the NBA.

Anyway, here'e what Wade & LeBron will look like in their respective 2011 All Star uniforms.

For some reason the photos won't load upright. So, just rotate your computer. Enjoy!
