This week at the DEMO conference in Silicon Valley, wiresurfer.com of Coral Springs launched what it says is the first free online marketplace for telecom deals specifically aimed at small and medium sized businesses.
According to its press release, wiresurfer gives SMBs an easy way to accurately compare voice and broadband data services from major carriers, all in one place on the Web. The telecom promotions are updated daily, the company said, and include offerings from national carriers including AT&T, CenturyLink, Comcast Business Services, EarthLink, InterCall, tw telecom, Windstream and XO Communications and others. Services available for comparison shopping include wireline voice, wireless voice and data, voice over IP (VoIP), Internet/broadband data including cable and DSL, collocation hosting, audio and web conferencing, and cloud-based solutions.
wiresurfer was co-founded by Jeffrey M. Kaufman, a telecom industry veteran living in South Florida. Kaufman is also the founder and CEO of telecom agency Linwood Communications and earlier he co-founded Cirqit.com, an early dotcom for document management. He co-founded wiresurfer with his friend since first grade, former lawyer and restaurateur Michael S. Fallman, who lives in Massachusetts.
