Entrepreneurs' Organization holding its global conference in Miami

The South Florida chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization will host the global association’s 2013 University conference March 13-17, attracting more than 300 EO member entrepreneurs representing about 30 countries to the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach and at other venues throughout the

Daymond John of FUBU and ABC’s Shark Tank and Manny Medina, of Medina Capital and founder of Terremark, are two of the confirmed speakers, organizers said. A final roster of presenters, events and special guests while be announced in coming weeks. Recent EO University conferences were held in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Cape Town, South Africa; and Istanbul, Turkey.

“It’s a big honor for our chapter and the region to host this event,” said Aaron Lee, president of Miami Lakes-based Illuminati Studios and a chairman on the University planning committee.  “In addition to the revenue the event will generate for the area, it’s a great opportunity to show business leaders from all over the world the strong entrepreneurial spirit and resources we have throughout South Florida.”

EO-SOFLO is the global group’s fourth-largest chapter, with more than 150 entrepreneur members in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.  EO-SOFLO businesses account for more than $1 billion in revenues and 25,000 jobs in this region, according to the chapter. Globally, Entrepreneurs’ Organization has more than 8,000 members – all majority shareholders businesses with at least $1 million in revenue -- in more than 40 countries. University is the global group's biggest annual conference for its members.
