Here’s news to raise a glass to: Miami-based Elebev was selected as one of 25 semi-finalists for the Miller Lite Tap the Future Business plan competition, with the chance of winning up to $280,000 in cash. Elebev’s first product, Sfiro Premium Chillers, creates transparent ice spheres that are served in a glass without need for physical contact and worries about contamination.

There will also be live pitching event Oct. 22 to a set of judges including the Shark Tank’s Daymond John, with $20,000 awarded to five winners. The top five companies from that event will compete in December for a $250,000 cash prize.
Elebev, located at MEC261, recently closed its second round of funding for $400,000, bringing its total raised to $700,000.
