Square launches tools in Spanish, holding event in Miami

SquareSquare, the mobile payment company based in San Francisco, on Wednesday launched a point of sale and suite of business tools in Spanish for Latino sellers across the United States. Square will host a free event to celebrate the Miami's small business community on Thursday, March 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brisky Gallery, 130 NW 24th Str. in Wynwood.

Research shows that among American minority groups, Hispanics are the most likely to start their own business and they’re starting and growing new businesses at nearly twice the rate of the general population. Square said its analysis shows that 98.6% of businesses in Miami are small business and $19 million in Miami Latino small business revenue was powered by Square. Now available in Spanish, Square’s Registerdashboard  of reports and analytics, online Market and mobile products as well as a card reader and software give businesses the tools to start, run, and grow, the company said.
