Come get your L Word dish.

Welcome to The L Word(s), a new blog dedicated to dishing about and dissecting all things L.  Yeah, OK, there are other sites out there. But I promise a few extra treats over here. Like occasional quotes you won't see anywhere else from Jennifer Beals talking about -- well, what it's like to make out with her old friend Marlee Matlin, for one thing. And from Ilene Chaiken, who'll gab about some of those sex scenes. And Kate Moennig,  who's got something to say to all you Shane clones out there.

But of course, you'll have to hang out for those earth-shattering revelations. You're not going to get it all at once.  Because you know, and I know, that the slow burn is much better.

I'll be giving you my take on The L Word through Season Four. (Check out my story on Season Four in the Miami Herald's Tropical LIfe section Sunday.) But this is hardly just my platform to go off on that wack job Jenny, or froth about JB, or offer some thoughts on the new Latina character Papi (Ilene, please come back to Miami and let us introduce you to some three-dimensional Latina lesbians). This is your platform, too. So come on, give up your dish, ask your questions, rant about what sucked and rave about what turned you on after each episode. And post links to your videos, or hook up a date with somebody on the blog. No cheesy soliciting for paid dates, and no stupid straight dudes (the non-stupid ones we welcome).

But otherwise, do what you like.

And know this: Ilene told me she's toying with the idea of bringing some of the cast down to Miami for a season finale party. She also said she'd check out our blog occasionally.  It's up to you to seduce her. L.A. may have some hot lesbians. But Ilene, you won't know swelter until you come hang out in Miami's L World.

Lydia - Congratulations on your blog. Former Miami girl here, and I look forward to reading more from you.

What a great idea! Really looking forward to reading your "L" blog and can't wait for to hear JB's take on S4. Loved your article on S4. Like so many, TiBette sucked me into L Word. Why can't IC let's us have our favorite couple back together strong, in love fighting "life" instead of each other. There's plenty of compelling drama to be had without making a mockery of LTR's. btw... I am one of those who refused to buy S3 DVD's or CD because of my what she did to Bette and Tina. Nothing in S3 made we want to dish out the cash. Nothing sizzled for B&T.

Hey Colorado Gal. I totally hear you. Season three dvds a drag with the Dana death thing, JB losing her alpha-cool and hiding her pregnancy and Tina getting all ice queen and hunting the D. Plus, nothing by way of decent extras on those discs anyway. Kate Moennig told she thought the lack of bloopers and worthy extras was lame -- and that she and Leisha Hailey want to make up for that by posting some fun stuff on the new OurChart.com. Guess we'll see what they come up with.

I am four years behind on the "L word".. I used to be a lesbian for 13 yrs, and it all came to a screeching halt 7 yrs ago by an ugly lesbian who did bad deeds. Even though I left the "lifestyle" and a hugely long sabbatical, I have finally succumbed to some late night viewing on the old DVD, to realize I like the show and the characters are very interesting. Well as interesting as you can get if you're a straight woman playing yet another lesbian character! Im still working through season one (lmao!!) & noting the dvd's get more expensive as they go. I did my clubbing and such in WeHo, a place I always wanted to live but didn't, so its of more interest to me because Im so familiar with the area, The palms bar, Girlbar, the parade.. wa wa wa.. the whole 9 yards. I laugh at the old expressions and jokes, which are REALLY OLD JOKES mind you.. lol in the lesbian community. I will check out your blog as the characters make me laugh and remind me of my old life. Thanks! (yours is the first site Ive landed on)

Linda

P.S. is this the actual blog? I guess Im too damn tired to read all of this. lol!

Linda

Oh shit the last post you made is in May? Are you that disenchanted with the L word. lol What of all the people who land on your page because they typed in "The L word" only to realize after they posted, you have abandoned your own blog. LMAO!!! WAKE UP!!!!!!

~ ahem! ~
