To spoil or not to spoil the L Word.

Bt2

(Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman. Image belongs to Showtime.)

I know how some of you feel. You need to know and you need to know right now how the entire fifth season of the L Word is going to unfold. You need to know if Bette and Tina manage put all the crazy drama behind them to fulfill that First, Last and Forever thing. Who cares what happened in the middle -- a carpenter slamming Bette against her office wall, a dude slamming Tina against her and Bette's bedroom wall --as long as First, Last and Forever wins the day?

And if they do hook up, how will it happen?  Will Bette just grab Tina one fine day, when Tina least expects it, and plant a passionate kiss on her? Will Tina fall to her knees and beg Bette to snap out of her denial? Because after all, Bette will always be in love with Tina. Tina, not Jodi.

Right?

Except, let's not forget that whole 17 Reasons Why  situation. I mean, Bette fended off scary dogs, climbed atop an abandoned building and wielded serious tools to rip off a huge sign. Then she had the sign shipped clear across the country, somehow put the thing back together (shrinking it along the way) and pulled it behind a tractor to bestow it on Jodi. Do you go through all of that for a woman who doesn't move you?

Well, I could spoil some of the fun and tell you whether or not Bette and Tina go at it in Season Five. But if I did, you'd be in my boat, which is not a better boat than the one you're in today. I can tell you some stuff, which will take the fun out of being surprised by it when it hits your TV screen (I spoke to someone else in the media who saw the first 8 episodes and she said she actually screamed when a certain something happened a few episodes in), but I haven't watched the entire season. Nobody, except the powers at the L Word, knows how this is all going to end.

So if I tell you, for example, who it is that Bette throws onto that bed, it won't really answer any ultimate questions for you. It'll just ruin the moment when it does come. I will say this: Who she slams against the bed is not necessarily as crucial as what drives her to do the slamming. Plus, don't be so sure you know what she actually does once she has that girl, whoever that girl is, beneath her. Because what she actually does is WAY hotter than what you think she does.

Merry Christmas, girls!

WTF?!
I didn't think I'd ever be as excited about the show again as I am right now.
I am so ready for some TiBette hotness again!

AnotherWorld

AWW Thanks for the headsup Lydia. I like cryptic hints. As long as you keep posting those hot pictures of Tina and Bette everything is okay with me.

How can you not be in a better boat than us? Duh, you have watched the first 8 episodes!

Yes, Bette will always be in love with Tina, not Jodi. The 17 reasons why situation - it is not that Bette is moved by Jodi, she has been reduced to a f*cking schoolgirl by her.

A-Rod

So, you've watched the first 8 episodes? I'm sooo jealous! Keep posting.

Merry Christmas Lydia.

Thanks Lydia and Merry Christmas to you too !

Can you tell us Bette and Tina fans who have spent the last 2 years in total frustration and despair if S5 will be worth tuning into? I've been sitting on the fence wondering if it is worth turning SHO back on or not. If it's going to be just more bait and switch, I'd rather just catch it on DVD.

Based on what you have seen so far - is Bette and Tina's story really going to be told?

sheepy

oh lydia u r a real tease! merry x'mas!

u r right! i dunt wanna have my happiness and shockness been taken away by the spoilers, but...could u please tell us just a final conclusion, are tibette going to good or bad...

I'm torn now if I Should get Showtime again. I mostly tuned in for the Bette and Tina story and based on your two blogs I am leaning towards getting it now. I've waited and waited and waited for Bette and Tina to have their due. I know a lot of people think they do not belong together based on certain actions of both characters but what's amazing is that both of these ladies are incredibly flawed which makes it worth while to watch their love prevail even when they aren't even trying. One thing I love about Bette is her love for Tina. No matter what or how mad Bette is she loves that girl to death. Jodi isn't a threat and I'm not a MM hater, I don't want Jodi to get hurt but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants. Bette might think she will hurt Jodi but if she is drawn to Tina then go for it. Lydia thanks for the blog could you give us one more hint about Tibette in season 5? I'm promise I won't pester you. Just make it a good enough hint to make our mouth wet with anticipation for s5.

Spoiler Alert******

Possibly post the picture of the Tibette kiss in episode 4? That would be great!

Merry Christmas

Thanks Lydia. I know it's hard holding in juicy information like the one you have. Can't you pull an Alice and share one more Tibette tidbit please? I saw a promo last night that showed Tina and Bette getting ready to kiss. So we know something is out there.
