Lucio scored a late goal to give Brazil a 3-2 win over the upstart United States and a second straight Confederations Cup title Sunday.
The Brazil captain headed in a corner from Elano in the 84th minute to help the five-time world champions hold off a spirited American team that had taken a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Luis Fabiano scored two goals in the second half to put Brazil back in the match after Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan had given the Americans the lead.
Brazil, which won its third Confederations Cup title, looked like a beaten team in the first half, creating little and being constantly stymied by the United States defense and goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Typical choke job by the US. They do not have the will, the balls, fitness and hunger to finish any good they did in the first half. Hats off to Brazil for the fightback, they deserve the win, the US deserves the loss.

This is the wetbacks game. We have as much chance of beating them in soccer as they do in beating us at ice hockey. Aint gonna happen.

The US played well and they should be proud. They simply aren't as good as Brazil; they aren't alone.

Congratulations to the US team. 2nd place is great (hey, Spain the top ranked in the world is just 3rd).
Please, stop being so negative. The US can be good at any sport, it is just a question of time, support and money.

How the heck can you say they don't have the will or fitness and hunger? MrMyxlplyk is an ignorant racist, seeing as how it's originally a English game, and the main sport of all Europe.
