Midway through 2009 season, a strange pattern has emerged for Miami FC:
The less the Blues' stars play, the better the team fares.
Sunday night was no different.
Even with striker Diego Serna sidelined for most of the match with a knee injury, Miami FC was as crisp offensively as the team has been all season, scoring twice in the first half to cruise past the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 at a nearly empty FIU Stadium.

Why to an nearly empty stadium?--I'm moving down to S.Florida w/my kids from Ohio-- I confused--I know soccer(football) is played more down there--why no supporters?

Marta,
Only big time clubs do well in Miami. If the city ever got an MLS franchise, they'd do better. But the USL is not interesting to many people.

It's a shame... especially with the way Miami FC is playing. Attendance should be on the rise. I think one of the major problems is the lack of advertising and promotion. You gotta get the word out in this town in a big way. If you don't do that, people will find something else to do (there is plenty to do down here).

Miami FC do a lousy job marketing this team. don't blame the fans.

Lousy support from the soccer community in South Florida They only care for there team back home. Miami is not there home.

Miami FC front office is at fault for the lack of fans support.
