Yes, it's still 9 years away, but....
The Miami World Cup 2018 bid committee had a gathering this morning to get the ball rolling, so to speak...Emilio Estefan was there. Aaron Davidson of MiamiFC was there. Mike Dee was there representing Steve Ross. Marcelo Claure sent a representative. Several commissioners were there.
Bottom line: Miami needs to show that people here are excited about the bid. There will be some public events in the near future. In the meantime, fans are urged to go to www.gousabid.com, sign the petition, and spread the word.
Yours in Soccer,
Michelle.

Claure/FC Barcelona should have done some public events for the MLS bid.

These are the same people who should bring us an MLS team.
Next time they have a meeting I wont go either, but I'll send my representative, Burrito! (Everybody does it!)
I'm all for the WC in Miami but what we really want is an MLS team again!
Let's do something about it South Florida, go here:

MLS in Miami should be a priority. The WC is not until 2018. What Emilio Estefan,Aaron Davidson/Traffic,Steve Ross,Marcelo Claure and commissioners should work on bringing Miami MLS. Miami should have MLS way before any WC games. FIU stadium is ready to welcome a MLS expansion team. The fans want the best and MLS is the best USA has. We have plenty of deep pockets in Miami its time to get it done.

It would be great if we get WC games. I agree that we should have MLS. I am sorry but Miami FC is just not attractive. MLS has the players and great teams. Miami never forgot the Fusion and we want it back.
