U.S. opens U-20 World Cup play

Host Egypt opened the U-20 World Cup in dominant fashion, spanking Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 Thursday.

Does the U.S. await the same fate Friday against Germany?

It wouldn't be surprising, as the U.S. opens Group C action at 4 p.m. local time. Also in the Americans' group: Cameroon and South Korea.

Good luck to the U.S. Hope they perform well...

There was a blurb on Greg Cote's blog that Miami FC quietly folded. No one else has confirmed that or denied it. Is it true or is Cote being the idiot he usually is?

Greg Cote is an idiot. Miami FC will play next year. It would be great if they jum to MLS.
