Ochocinco lobbies for World Cup bid

In a strange convergence that's only possible in South Florida, Chad Ochocinco has become Miami FC's most famous fan.

The Miami-Dade resident -- when he's not catching touchdowns for the Bengals -- has become a one-man viral marketing campaign for the Blues (whom we hear could become known as the Strikers quite soon).

He's also an unofficial spokesman for Miami's World Cup bid, as this TwitPic shows.

According to Miami FC flack Ignacio Rodriguez-Argote, Ochocinco tweeted something along the lines of "Having lunch at Davids café, Just say Chad at the door and lunch is on me."

Sure enough, the Artist Formerly Known as Chad Johnson was there, and mugged for a picture in sopport of Miami's 2018/2022 bid.

Speaking of which, there's still time to sign the petition. As of Tuesday afternoon, 8,765 people had.
