Look who I found buying cleats for his sons at Soccer Locker in Kendall! That's right...Carlos "El Pibe'' Valderrama, former Colombian and Miami Fusion star, just strolled in, and was nice as can be, chatting World Cup and posing for photos with customers and sales people.
He likes Argentina and Brazil to go far. Thinks US will advance from group, but not sure they are experienced enough to go much further. Impressed with Seattle Sounders' and Philly MLS fans, said he was there for games and loved the atmosphere, lamenting that Miami should have a successful pro team. El Pibe is heading to South Africa next week for Futbol de Primera.
