Who will make the cut?

US coach Bob Bradley will announce his final World Cup 23 today at 1 on ESPN..a few tough choices to make...

My guess: 3 Goalkeepers (Howard, Guzan, Hahnemann) Defense-Bocanegra, Onyewu, Bornstein, Cherundolo, DeMerit, Goodson, Spector. Midfield-Bradley, Clark, Dempsey, Donovan, Edu, Feilhaber, Holden, Beasley. Forward-Altidore, Ching

On the bubble for the final 3 spots: Buddle, Gomez, Torres, Bedoya, Pearce, Kljestan, Rogers

What do you think????

Michelinha.

It was sad watching Onyewu last night. Gooch clearly isn't physically ready. I don't think there's any way he doesn't make the trip, but unless the rust magically wears off vs. Turkey and Australia, I'm not expecting much. The back four is in shambles. Boca's hurt, DeMerit has depth perception issues (!), and the performance last night was horrific. Bornstein is clueless; Pearce has no business even being considered for a spot. Tim Howard's going to have his work cut out for him -- he's probably going to know what it's like to be on the wrong end of a turkey shoot.
I think the 20 you've listed are dead certs; from the final 3, I'd take Buddle (due to the chemistry he has with Donovan), Torres and Gomez. Bedoya would be a great story, but I'm sure he'll factor in greatly from here on out. Rogers isn't ready for prime time yet, and Pearce and Kljestan will never be ready for prime time.
Somewhere in this country, there has to be someone who knows how to play the LB position. Sigh.

Gomez
