10 days and counting!
In case you missed it over the holiday weekend, here is a story I wrote on Jozy Altidore
US team arrived in South Africa yesterday.
Also, have a few more South Florida places to watch World Cup matches (scroll down to see all the listings thus far)...
SmokeT, a BBQ restaurant/bar across from UM on US-1, along with Soccer Locker will be hosting a watch party for the US-England game Sat. June 12, 2 p.m. Food and drink specials, t-shirts, prizes, etc...
The Grove Spot, 3324 Virginia St. in Coconut Grove showing all matches live, 7 a.m. breakfast, prizes, raffles, specials. 305-774-6696.
Also, Sandbar in Coconut Grove showing all matches live.
Mickey Byrnes Irish Pub in Hollywood (1921 Hollywood Blvd) showing all games and offering free drinks everytime somebody scores on France (Irish are still bitter about that Thierry Henry hand ball! Deservedly so!)
Brickell Irish Pub (Miami Ave and 14th) has lots of big screens and will be showing matches. Waxy O'Connor's and Playwright also popular soccer spots. And, of course, Fritz and Franz in Coral Gables, Churchill's in North Miami.
Waxy O'Connor's is a fun World Cup spot.
