This just in...The Washington Freedom of Women's Professional Soccer is basically moving its home base to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton for the 2011 season. WPS released its schedule, which said a few of the Freedom's games may be played in the DC area, but the home field is FAU. Why would a Washington team call Boca home? Because new owner Dan Borislow, inventor of the Magic Jack, lives in Palm Beach County and he wants the team there. The team's name on the WPS schedule is Magic Jack's Washington Freedom. No word yet on whether they'll drop the Washington part of their name altogether.
Abby Wambach is among the better known players on the team. Season is April - August.
Details to come.

We need to get in contact with this Borislow guy and convince him to name the team "Magic City FC". That way he gets his promotion in but it's not a total joke. Even though they won't play in the Magic City, it's still better than Magic Jack FC.
