Kerzner Debt Coming Due; Atlantis is collateral

Big debt coming due for Kerzner, owner of Atlantis in Nassau. Interesting to note that the investors behind the big Atlantis competitor in Nassau, Baha Mar, is the Chinese government, while the big Kerzner backer is Dubai.

Here is the Wall Street Journal story on Kerzner.

Dallas and snow could be good for Miami Super Bowls

With the Super Bowl debut of Jerry Jones' $1.2 billion football stadium on Sunday, the word among South Florida's tourism and football honchos was Watch Out: Dallas is now going to be a player in the unofficial rotation of the NFL's big game among warm weather cities like Miami, Phoenix and Tampa.
Then comes the big snowstorm this week, which has actually closed the Dallas airport and promoted a flurry of media coverage of potential Super Bowl travel disruptions.
Not good for Dallas looking like a Super Bowl Giant Killer. And speaking of Giants, we're also seeing the media wonder how much snow the NFL can really handle when it comes to Super Bowl, what with plans to play the 2014 game in the new New Jersey stadium-- which (unlike Dallas) doesn't have a roof.
The League is expected to hand out the 2015 and 2016 Super Bowls before this summer. These snowstorms are bound to be on owners' minds when they consider whether to send the game back to Miami Gardens.
