NCL has just released the profile of it's much-touted new ship,
Epic, slated for delivery in 2010. Looks a little chunky to me;
what do you think?

It looks like a Eastern European apartment building ..... :)

I think the front looks a little chunky in the pictures, for larger photos go here: http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/news/#story46
Meanwhile, i looks at if the top deck has alarge stage area, possibly also with a movie screen. It is the rooms stacked up over the bridge that give it the most unusual look. It has a classic bow deck like Queen Mary 2 or any true ocean liner.
I like it, I think you need to see it in person to appreciate it. You know how Freedom of the Seas looks deceptively small? Epic is slightly smaller, but I think it will actually look bigger and more awe inspiring.

I'm sure it's wonderful inside. But as far as the design, I agree, it's top heavy in appearance. That said, it definitely stands out, which generates buzz in the marketplace! And I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, as NCL always did do things a bit differently than other lines (Freestyle Cruising being one good example).
