UM post-OU lockeroom scene

Just got out of the UM lockerroom after the Canes got thrashed by fifth-ranked Oklahoma 51-13 on national television.

Here's a quick rundown of reaction:

- Quarterback Kirby Freeman declined comment. His quote: "Oh, I'm not talking to the media."
- Quarterback Kyle Wright spoke at length, but would not say if he thinks he should be named the starter next week. "I'll let the coaches decide that." Wright was seen after upbeat and smiling with some family and friends.
- Cornerback Randy Phillips owned up to his bad day after getting beat regularly by OU's receivers. "It was the worst day of my life," he said.
- Javarris James asked not to be interviewed.
- Calais Campbell said Miami will rebound against FIU next week.
- Derrick Morse said "we're just going to have to eat this loss." He said Miami's offensive struggles were mostly due to poor communication.

I'll be back with full audio uploads later tonight. But that's the quick scoop from Norman.

wow we had a bad gameplan and horrible offense. we had a bad day all around

Oh gee- rebound by beating FIU. What the frig - how about beating a RANKED team for Christ's sake.

As for Kyle yukking it up - just goes to show he's not a team player.

As for SHannon - if he's going to suspend players for unpaid tickets, how about suspending them for crappy play (i.e. Randy Phillips - dude should bebenched for the rest of the season).

Loss was due to "poor communication" - how about poor play and piss-poor players.

Those guys can eat me raw...

i would be yukking it up too.... at how bad kirby is and what a joke shannon is if he doesn't start kyle next week.
F'ing joke....

for those of you who are blaming this loss soley on cokers players... quit drinkin the kool-aid. sure, some of our players are less than stellar, but we got outcoached...period.

no adjustments on D to put pressure on the QB, no secondary adjustments, gordon and hill returning kicks is laughable, baby j not used enough, not keeping KW in the game, poor play callin and no halftime adjustments. shannon has a lot to learn. and while i dont think walton and nix are great coordinators, shannon could have stepped in at any time and made sure they were doing what he wanted.

the bottom line is our coaches are no where near top-tier. i hope they prove me wrong, but its gonna be a long season. losing is one thing, but i think the coaching staff and players quit ... and that is unaccetable!!

THEY WHERE OUT PLAYED NOT BECUZ LACK

OF TALENT BUT BY BEING OUT COACHED IT

WAS SAD. WHAT HAPPEN WITH PLAY ACTION

PASS, SCREENS OR BETTER YET SLANTS DOWN

THE MIDDLE FINALLY FINISH OF WITH

THE RUNNING GAME.

Amen, Unbearable. TERRIBLE coaching - seems like nothing has changed in that regard.

Game plan was terrible from the beginning (was there even one?) and there were no adjustments during the game...it was sheer incompetence.

Miami is alright they just had a bad game. i am a true fan i love the way coach managed the game. it was poor exacution by the players will be alright.

FIU 35 scUM 17

That's the worse looking UM team in 30 years. Period.

bad defense, terrible special teams, and offense decided not to show up!!

louis,

you love the way the coached managed the game? please tell me there is sarcasm in there that i missed. and if not, enlighten us as to what youre referring too as far as game management. the coaches are less talented than our players

OK THE EXPERIMENT IS OVER!! KIRBY HAD HIS CHANCE AND PROVED HE'S HORRIBLE. KYLE IS OUR #1 QB NOW. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!

The only explanation for going back to Kirby She-Man is that Randy was giving "her" more experience for next year. However, after what we all witnessed today, It's not going to take much for Marve to start next year.

As far as the coords, the running game was doing "ok" today but we weren't consistant with it. James averaged 9 per carry but when we're 3rd and long every time it doesn't matter. The only time that we moved was because Kyle's gun got it right in the guts of the recievers. "She-Man's" passes were in the ground most of the time.

Defensively, I don't understand how every play that ou ran went to the week spot of our d. Even running up the middle, their backs had HUGE holes. The Secondary looks like a bunch of scared little girls that can't tackle. Where is this pre-season "All-American" safety of ours. Tackles are one thing but did ANYBODY break up passes? Randy had a INT go right through his hands in the third qtr that would have changed the momentum alot.
Overall, the fault is 75/25 on the coaches. Yea we played like girls in the secondary, our d-line couldn't move the o-line an inch and Kirby couldn't connect with anyone BUT, these ARE Coker's players and they OBVIOUSLY don't match up with the elite other players.
Come Hard Or Don't Come At All!!!!!!!!!!

im so sick of this crap i dont even no what to say anymore about the U it was only 5 years ago we were on the top of the mountain how could we have fallin so far so fast it boggles my mind the other teams that were also on the top of the mountain 4 or 5 years ago OU,USC,LSU still are on top and the U the most dominate of them all 5 years ago has fallin all the way to the bottem so depressing i think today its become terribly clear how bad of a job larry coker did recruiting because these kids out there starting for the U would have been 3rd string back in 01 and 02 its not there fault all those kids played hard today but there just not good enough to compete and definetly not good enough to be starting at the U but thanks to coker thats the best we got for right now but atleast the future looks bright with randy leading the way we just need to give him sumtime to get his kinda of players in there talented determined playmaking athletes and from how this upcoming recruiting class is already looking id say were already almost there especially with all them studs were getting from miami northwestern ok ive vented atleast we can still play for the acc championship but lets be honest as a cane fan i only care about one thing just like every other true cane fan NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS anything less means nothing in south florida i cant wait for 2008

"Calais Campbell said Miami will rebound against FIU next week."

Nice comment from suppposively best DE in the country.

SECOND HALF--UM 3 OKL 30 pts. Great second half adjustments coaches.

NO SWAGGER!! NO QB!! NO ORANGE BOWL!! WHAT'S NEXT?

Face it. They had better talent..better speed. and better executions. As much as I hate to admit it.they're just flat out better.

I know there are a lot of less talented offense out there that produce better than us. I just say hold of and wait for the offense the gel. It wouldn't hurt if we had some better WRs. IMO we should start the underclassment and let Legget/Jenkins/Jones sub in. If we're gonna have dropped passes, I'd rather it be freshmen than seniors.

Somethings I left out of my post:

I AM and ALWAYS will be a cane fan no matter their record. However, that doesn't mean I won't state my opinion!

We will end up being ok this season. We somewhat needed this to put things in prespective for us. This morning before the game every website I went to had articles on what it's going to mean to show that the U is back! People, just because we got a good head coach doesn't mean these "MEDIOCRE" players are going to turn into 5 star recruits. We have to make do! The difference in mediocre and blue-chip is this.
Instead of dropped passes and dropped INTs. Blue-Chippers make unbelievable catches and then turn around, make players miss and get in the end-zone. "Miami defense" scores points. That's something that we haven't done in 3 years. It's not Shannon's fault. We just need better recruit's and that is the only thing that gives us fans hope because Randy has already shown he CAN do that.

I'M OUT!!!!!!!!!1

Honestly, besides Campbell's INT against marshall, our two "Big Name Defenseive Studs" haven't done anything to show anyone that they should enter the draft early. At least we will keep them for next year but it looks like our string of 1st round picks might be broke this year. Thanks Harry Poker!

Manny, honestly, I think its absolutely irresponsible to just throw out, Kyle was seen yukking it up with family and friends. What exactly does that mean? Were they joking for 10, 15, 20 minutes? Were they playing the dozens? Do you know if Kyle was cracking jokes or was it his family and friends and he was just responding? Without any context what so ever, you just throw it, "he was seen yukking it up with family and friends". This is why so many athletes hate the media. Are you trying to turn the fans against Kyle even more? Are you trying to poison the atmosphere? We know you were upset that he didn't talk after the depth charts were released last week. Either report on the whole scenario or if you don't know the whole story, don't print anything.

You make a good point Huffy. We haven't had big names like Morgan,Lewis,Rolle,Reed,Taylor, developed the last 3 years at UM. Phillips can be great, but he plays with bad teammates. Even Beason stunk.

I'm just tired of all this CRAP product.

Reality Check to Us All****We just don't have enough playmakers to be competitive with the elite teams.
OU had more speed--Imagine that reality!! OU's d line was more dominant than our O line.

Our offense will not produce much until we improve at QB with another body. I doubt Marve will be red shirted after today's reality check.

OU ranked #5 Canes unranked--That's the reality!!! Let's be patient.

man kirby freeman is a joke wright should;ve played the whole second half, lbs got to make plays secondary looks like they're f.... loss out there, freeman should be the scout team qb

GREAT POINT CANELUVR!! HE'S RIGHT MANNY. THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT AND IRREVELANT. UNLESS YOU KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH HIM, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ADDED THAT IT. SOUNDS LIKE A PERSONAL VENDETA.

Face it people, the best days of our Canes are behind us. The championships, the Orange Bowl, everything. All the advantages that are small private school once had (both locally and nationally) is no more. If all things have cycles, we're in for a very ugly 30 years to come. And this coming from a 10 yr season ticket holder which will not renew next year. Time to find another team.

GREAT POINT CANELUVR!! HE'S RIGHT MANNY. THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT AND IRREVELANT. UNLESS YOU KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH HIM, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ADDED THAT IT. SOUNDS LIKE A PERSONAL VENDETA.

Good Idea realist. Don't renew your season tickets.

Cuz we don't want you as a fan you bandwagoner!!!!!!! You stick with your team through thick and thin. Take some notes from the Nebraska fans, or how bout the USC fans!! Don't ever post on here again and go buy an ou jersey you friggin wanker!!!!!!!!

Huffy, I want to know if it was disruptive, or was it just chuckling with mom and dad when they try to make him feel better. Either way, I think Manny does a good job, but I do think that's irresponsible.

Its just one game. For 2 1/2 quarters, the team was a significant improvement over last year, just about any game last year. There were a few creases that should've been exploited by Cooper and Hill on offense, but overall, I don't think its as bad as people are making it out to be. OU is probably the best team on the schedule.

Here's the run down as I see it...

1) Oklahoma is for real. No, I'm not making an excuse - I'm stating the obvious. Oklahoma is a good football team. They're sound in all aspects of the game and deserved the win today. They were, and are, the better team.

2) Offense: Still not anwhere close to where Canes fans expect. Kirby Freeman is atrocious - His 0-for performance was disgraceful - kind of sad that the Canes have this kid as their "starting" QB. The lame-duck throws from his arm are gross. On the bright side (if there is one), Kyle Wright came in and did a good job. He managed the game well while he was in charge of the offense. Was it just me or did the entire offense seem to respond to Wright much more so than they do with Kirby under center? Receivers were running better routes, throws were on the money, and blocking was improved. Overall, the addition of Patrick Nix as offensive coordinator has yet to show. So much for the "hidden" offense that Nix supposedly was ready to reveal for this game. I saw nothing different from what was displayed in the Marshall game, and that should legitimately displease Canes fans. They deserve better than RB blasts up the middle and mid-distance slants. Where were the tricky screens and deceptive routes? - non-existent. Also, make no mistake, I like Graig Cooper a lot, but where was Baby J? Why was he not in at the end of the half when we needed a big, powerful back to pound it in. That was nothing more than BAD COACHING if you ask me. ps. Props to the O-line for showing up - you were the only bright spot (besides Kyle) to our offense.

3) Defense: Gross. So much for the "talk" about how dominant the Canes group would be this year. They are far away from the dominance of last year and the year's prior. The D-Line didn't do anything today. Except for one sack in the first half, Calais Campbell lost major All-America attention after a non-existent showing. RANDY PHILLIPS is the WORST defensive back at the U in the last 20 years (yes, I said it). Not only was he blow by all of his freshman year, but after claiming that he had "learned his lesson" and come back with a vengence for his sophomore season, the junior was ABSOLUTELY BURNT the entire game today. Three Oklahoma passing touchdowns were a direct result of the incompetence of Phillips. If he's our best corner, we're in BIG, BIG trouble.

In the end, I still want to believe in my (our) CANES...but it's tough now. It was 21-13 midway through the 3rd quarter and we just gave up (reminiscent of Peach Bowl v. LSU). 60 minutes in the length of a game and we need to learn to play it to the end. I'm still high on Randy and his ability to turn this team around, but I have to question the call to put Kirby back into the game. No, I don't think it would have changed the outcome, but why even bother give him another chance? As I see it, Kyle is our man and after coming in today, in that situation, he deserves a shot at calling this team his own.

Miami has a big reason to be proud. since she has arrived President Shalala has raised the academic standards of the school. Unfortunetly for the football team it has had a negative effect. Remember in the glory days there were no standards for the football players and thus they recruited any convict off the street. Thus their reputation. the U was well known for taking players that were ineligible to play for Florida. But now with higher acedemic standards the U is no longer able to recruit the type of players they had in the old days. So... congratulations on the high academic reputation you now have. Unfortunately the U will never again be an important football team.

Congratulations DON. You just showed all of us that you're an idiot. Why did you post that now? At this time? You must be Shalala herself. That has nothing to do with the current situation.

That's the stuff, Huffy!. "Realist" knows NOT the meaning of a true fan...we bleed UM, as I have for over 45 years (since I was 2...haha)
As much as I usually enjoy Mando's posts here, I also think the "Yucking it up" comment was a cheap shot.

to get the point across that the only reason for the U's success in the past was because of their fielding thugs. and that is over. get use to it

GO GATORS

Patrick Nix needs to lose that 3rd down 6 yard out when we need 9 yards. We always end up 4 and 3...or we drop the pass. None of our receivers have the moves to elude the defender. And whats with our receivers when they DO make the catch "falling" down?...they sort crumble to the ground untouched after a catch. I long for the day (like 20 years ago) when receivers and running backs "manned-up", lowered a shoulder, instead of running out of bounds or falling down like little girly men...lol
Actually, Graig Cooper was the exception...heis a stud, and hope for the future. Javaris showed something as well.
The old 'Canes used to wear you down, then trip you up with the pass. maybe it's time to return to our running game. A good coaching staff should soon realize this.

The Canes will be fine. Did anyone really EXPECT Miami to win? I HOPED they would, but I didn't expect it. OU is a very good team. The wheels came off at the end when we got steam rolled in the 4th.

This doesn't change my expectation for the season of 10-2 or 9-3 at worst. Even if Jimmy Johnson was coaching, the result would be the same. Lance Leggett, Darnell Jenkins and our 2 QBs are broken. That is clear, they will never be good. NO ONE can change that. We have been seeing this kind of play from those players for about 2 to 3 years now, why would think it will change over night. We have to wait fro these guys to be gone and hope the next set (MArve and Super Sport) are better.

We lost the battle of the Line BIG Time
... knocked back on Offense & Defense, that blew up & destroyed our Offense & Defense.

QB play, both had that bad fart smell that will linger all season & over power that sweet smell of victory .... ugh!!

Hey "Don". Correct me of I'm wrong but didn't we come back after being down 28 to beat the gators? I guess that's what you mean when you say we only won with thugs, right? Ya, Brock Berlin was a huge gangbanger! And what was the score of that Peach Bowl against the Gators. I guess my memory isn't as good as yours.

HA HA HA

Not too many bloggers are seeing what's going on. Props to 8th man in da Box and Storm Debris for getting it right. Oklahoma had way more speed and better athletes. Yes, it's a shame that it's come to that, but no coach on Earth would be able to overcome that disparity in talent. Still, giving up 50 points is embarrassing. It felt like 47-0 at FSU in '97 --- you know you're getting your ass kicked and there's nothing you can do about it.

All the bloggers hating Kenny Phillips are complete morons. The man had 13 tackles, one forced fumble and was just about the only defender capable of making a solo tackle today. Him and Gooden were, by far, the best Canes today.

As far as Randy Phillips goes, yes, he had a terrible day. But Malcolm Kelly is one of the best receivers in the country. Pretty tough assignment to put him repeatedly in one-on-one coverage.

I tend to agree with the Calais Campbell bashing. He had three tackles, one sack and was generally nullified in one-on-one blocking.

As far as the offense is concerned, let's face it, it's gonna be tough to score with the QBs and WRs we have. The offense at least had a pulse with Wright in there. Here's a numbing stat: UM had 14 possessions and 13 of those were 5 plays or fewer. UM gained 139 yards. The QBs look even worse when the receivers drop passes and get no separation. Again, I don't know what kind of coaching you guys think will overcome that.

Shannon has a long way to go, but he showed some balls with the fake FG. If that didn't happen, UM wouldn't have a touchdown. I still think Shannon's an exponential upgrade over Coker.

First,

Please tell me Kyle Wright got a concussion or something.. I have no idea what he did to be taken out of that game.. Kirby Freeman looks like a deer in the headlights. At least Wright was decisive and accurate.

Second,

Did Nix only bring 8 plays with him? QB Draw 3 times? All 3 on 3rd down? Not one worked? I don't recall it working last week either....

Running an option pitch 2 times goal to go from the 2 and 1? Does our play book not include a QB sneak? I just can't stand it when offenses try and get cute on the goal line. Plays like that can lead to a significant loss of yardage (exactly what happened).

I believe I saw that Shotgun sweep play (or a slight variation with the motion) at least 3 or 4 times. I had always thought that the shotgun was the most inefficient formation to run a running play out of unless you are operating some spread-option offense.

I find it funny that we ran these plays numerous times yet the one play we had that had a huge gain (the misdirection run) was only ran once. Not even a variation.

Third,

I was disgusted that we just threw in the towel with 11 minutes left in the game. A comeback then (I think it was 3 possessions)is highly unlikely especially with how the canes were playing but at least TRY. If anything the passing game was bad so we might as well take the time to work on it.

Finally,

The Defense played pretty bad... the offense certainly did not help. I don't believe the Canes even got a 1st down in the second half. Poor punts/3 and outs/poor special teams coverage consistently gave Oklahoma amazing field position.

The second half reminded me a lot of the second half of the Sugar Bowl against LSU. Just plain pathetic.

GO CANES, A IM A LOYAL ALUM AND ALWAYS WILL BE A FAN AND TICKETHOLDER IF WE ARE 0-12 OR 12-0. A FEW COMMENTS...

1. THIS IS NOT A CONFERENCE GAME. UM HAS NOT YET ONE AN ACC CHAMPIONSHIP. LETS FORGET ABOUT THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, AND WIN THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP. THAT GOAL STARTS IN A FEW WEEKS WITH CONFERENCE GAMES. UM WILL BE 3-1 GOING INTO THE CONFERENCE GAMES...RELAX FANS, UM WILL BE OK.

2. OKLAHOMA HAD BETTER TALENT AND OUTMANNED UM AT EVERY SINGLE POSITION. SAME THING THAT LSU DID TWO YEARS AGO, THAT LOUISVILLE DID LAST YEAR, AND SAME THING OHIO STATE DID IN THE 2002 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME...THEY ALL BEAT UM UP FRONT. PERIOD. UM GOT BEAT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE AND IF ANY OF YOU LOOK AT OKLAHOMAS OFFENSIVE LINE AND DEFENSIVE LINE, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY...MANY OF THEM WILL BE PLAYING ON SUNDAYS WHEN THEIR TIME COMES.

3. KYLE WRIGHT NOW CLEARLY DESERVES THE CHANCE AND START AGAINST FIU AND TEXAS AM. I HOPE THE COACHING STAFF DOES GIVE HIM THAT CHANCE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY KYLE WAS PULLED WHEN WE WERE STILL UP 21-13. TURNINIG POINT IN THE GAME...OKLAHOMA GAVE UP SO MANY MISTAKES, AND MIAMI WAS WITHIN 8 POINTS...AND WE TOOK OUT THE HOT QB...NEED AN EXPLANATION FOR THAT.

4. WHEN GLEN SHARPE GOT HURT, I KNEW THE SECONDARY WAS IN FOR A LONG YEAR. 28 POINTS IN THIS GAME GO TO RANDY PHILLIPS FOR BLOWN COVERAGE. HE NEEDS TO GO TO THE SCOUT TEAM...IT HAPPENED AGAINST LSU, MARYLAND, GA TECH, AND LOUISVILLE...HE CONTINUES TO GET BEAT, HE GOT BEAT IN THE MARSHALL GAME LAST YEAR...IF ANY UM PERSON WITH INFLUENCE IS LISTENING, PLEASE SIT THIS GUY ON THE BENCH...HE IS TRULY HURTING US. START GRANT, ARMOUR, OR DVD, OR PUT K PHILLIPS AT CORNER...DO SOMETHING OR RANDY PHILLIPS WILL BLOW THE SEASON.

5. WHERE IS THE BACKFIELD WITH JAMES AND COOPER IN THERE TOGETHER? THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THE PLAYCALLING IS THAT WE ABANDONED THE RUN TO EARLY...EVEN WITH 8 GUYS IN THE BOX, KEEP RUNNING IT DOWN THEIR THROATS.

6. MIAMI WIDE RECEIVERS AND TIGHT ENDS...START WHEN YOU LAND IN MIAMI TONIGHT AND NONSTOP PRACTICE CATCHING THE BALL BECAUSE IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR DROPPED BALLS TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN WITH SENIORS ON THE FIELD. LEGGET AND JENKINS NEED TO STEP UP OR SIT THE BENCH AND LET YOUNG GUYS PLAY TO GET EXPERIENCE FOR NEXT YEAR. INEXCUSABLE FOR LANCE LEGGET TO GET SHUT OUT THIS GAME, EVEN WITH OU HAVING THE BEST SECONDARY IN THE NATION.

7. 8 AND 4 WILL BE A WONDERFUL SEASON FOR THIS TEAM...SAID IT IN THE SPRING AND NOW...NEXT YEAR IS THE YEAR FOR AN ACC CHAMPIONSHIP...

8. DONT GIVE UP ON THE CANES...OKLAHOMA HAS THE BEST DEFENSIVE AND OFFENSIVE LINES IN THE COUNTRY...THEY WILL BLOW OUT A LOT OF PEOPLE THIS YEAR. THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW ALONG WITH LSU....WATCH...LSU WILL SIMILARLY BLOW OUT VA TECH TONIGHT.

9. AT LEAST WE ARE NOT MICHIGAN GETTING BLOWN OUT AT HOME OR FSU LOSING TO UAB AT HOME...

GO CANES...TRY TO STAY POSITIVE FANS.

Ryan

Is your keyboard broken? It's really annoyng to read all caps.

Hey Manny

Were the players you interviewed this week smiling when you asked them about the "secret offense" because they thought you were out of your mind for thinking such a thing was possible?

Right On RYAN. OB Cane 2K you are right about somethings but you are misunderstanding these posts. We all realize that OU was the better team all-around but that doesn't mean we can't point out exactly who is doing wrong and what they are doing wrong. Make no mistake about it, Shannon is our man, but the reason why we repect him is we have seen him for years now as a coach and we respect all of his decisions. The Coords however have done nothing to earn our respect therefore when we say that coaching was a major problem today, we mean our coords. That is who calls the plays right? That is what they are getting paid for right Cane 2K?

what a terrible offensive game plan. that's the best nix could do? pathetic play calling that constantly had miami in long 3rd down situations. unreal how many counters, screens and options were run. sad day when miami is running option play in goaline situations. until the upcoming recruiting class comes in and get settled, it's going to be an ugly couple of seasons. coker cleary did a poor recruting job. this looks like a 4-loss team.

Gameplan 1st down pass, second down run,
third down pass.

The play calling sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am buying the fact that OU was better. Oklahoma was better then boise state last year and the Boise state Coaches just out coached OU. Miami had chances to out smart OU with the fake field goal and others, but Shannon threw in the towel because he was tired of playing the chest match with Oklahomas coaches. We lost because of our shitty coordinators not because of our mediocer players.

I LOVE HOW THEY SAID THEY HAVE SECRET PLAYS PLANNED FOR THIS GAME, AND HOW THEY HELD BACK AGAINST MARSHALL. THE ONLY THING THEY HELD BACK WAS JAVARIS JAMES THIS GAME!

ANOTHER THING I WONDER IS ALL THE RECRUITS COKER SIGNED WERE LISTED TO BE RECRUITED BUY FLORIDA, OHIO STATE, FSU. I THINK THAT IS ALL A LIE!

BECAUSE I THINK MOST OF OUR TEAM WONT START FOR ANY TOP 15 TEAM!

WE DONT HAVE A TIGHT END!
WE DONT HAVE A LEGIT RECEIVER!
WE DONT EVEN HAVE AN AVERAGE RECEIVER!
PLEASE SEND RANDY PHILIPS HOME BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE JASON ALLEN OF THE DOLPHINS OUT THERE!!!!

I HAVE TO VENT!

WHY DID THEY START THE GAME NOT ESTABLISHING THE RUN!?!?!??

WHY DID THEY USE COOPER AND NOT JAMES IN GOALLINE OPPORTUNITIES!?!?!?!?TWICE!.

COOPER IS A 3RD DOWN BACK! JAMES IS OUR WORK HORSE AND THEY WENT AWAY FROM IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY DOES FREEMAN LOOK LIKE A SCARED FRESHMEN???

WHY DOES UM'S TALENT LOOK LIKE AN AVERAGE TEAM? THEY REMIND ME OF THE SAME TEAM THAT WAS ON PROBATION!

WHY DO OUR RECEIVERS SUCK??!?!

WHY DOESNT LEGGET, JENKINS, FREEMAN, WRIGHT, AND OTHER JUST DROP OUT OF SCHOOL??

WHY DO ALL OF OUR PLAY CALLS SUCK ON OFFENSE???!!?

WHY DID GOODEN COMMIT THAT PENALTY ALONG WITH JAMES FUMBLING???!?!?

WHY DOES RANDY PHILIPS STINK AS WELL!?!??!

We lost because of our shitty coordinators not because of our mediocer players.

ya your right "miamicane" our players are the best in the country huh. They could beat anybody in the game huh. They're not mediocre are they? They always catch passes right? They can break tackles and make nig plays! Man I wish we were all as smart as "miamicane" and his little buddy Larry Coker, damn whatever are we going to do without Coker?

Dumbass

it was hilarious to see phillips (carol city) get beat by OU's recievers! all last week UM was talkin trash bout how they got speed over OU. I'm happy they ran the score up to shut all you UM trash talkers up!

#5OU 2-0 UM 1-1

Giving up with 11 minutes to play is unacceptable. We did that crap against LSU in the Peach Bowl and against L'ville last year. I thought Shannon's discipline was going to correct that crap. He needs to explain that one.

Why pull KW? Waiting on explanation for that one too. These players aren't the best, but you've got to coach 'em up. App State doesn't have blue chip recruits, but they went to the big house with a coach that demanded performance and they pulled off the upset of the year.

UM can still have a good season (10-2 / 9-3)
We can get big time wins on the road against V.Tech, BC and FSU. Will the coaches have the guts to make the right adjustments before and during the next game?

If not, it's going to be a long year. Go Canes!

TexasSooner, my apologize to you. OU it's better than Miami. You guys have a great QB. He pretty much destroy Miami's defense. Good luck to you guys.
Sad day to be a Cane.
