i am sooo glad shiano said no to the job here. rutgers is awful all the money they spent on stadiums and weight rooms, and they are as bad as always shiano should go hide somewhere

Miggs, calm down there. I'm just lovin that the game has been exciting. Actually been a UM v. FSU worth watching. Canadian, much agreed. Shannon still has me scratching my head. I was saying out loud the same exact things as Bleckledge and Nessler about the pooch kick. Unless the type of kick is the ST Coordinator's call. All in all though very pleased with the 1st half showing. And I know others will disagree with this one, but I think Ponder has a future QBing on Sundays if he chooses against being a corporate robot.

Great pooch kick call Randy!!!!
BAWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHA
Dude is standing on the sidelines and is absolutely clueless.
No wonder why he doesnt have a contract extension. What a joke of a coach.

Get up AJ...
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:11 PM
That should have been a TD... I hope AJ is OK.
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:12 PM
Come on Semminoles!!! Lets kick some cane butt!! B.Bowden lets show Shannon what a REAL coach looks like!
Posted by: Mexicandolfan | September 07, 2009 at 10:13 PM
Let me be the first to say it, I think the U has found its next head coach. Congrats Mr. Whipple.
Posted by: jc | September 07, 2009 at 10:17 PM
Whipple is a genius....Lovett, not bad but the players are just not together yet. No pressure on Ponder, DB's out of position most of the time. The O line which was to be our weak spot is definitely looking a lot better than the D line...Jacory....the BEST!!!!!
Posted by: Canes2win | September 07, 2009 at 10:18 PM
D is having a hard time stopping the noles. Close game but they have to get off the field.
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:18 PM
Why are they calling so many defensive timeouts?!?!?!
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:23 PM
Qwack Qwack Qwack ...
Posted by: The DUCK | September 07, 2009 at 10:24 PM
christ, we had a touchdown with a quick out and in with james and they can't complete it. Genius play call, terrible execution, and thats why were aren't ranked.
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:26 PM
What kind of coverage scheme is this???
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:27 PM
they said the noles secondary was terrible coming into this game, it looks like ours is worse.
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:27 PM
lovett, please blitz
Posted by: jc | September 07, 2009 at 10:27 PM
WOW... this is not good. Defense is having serious problems stopping them now. They look lost.
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:29 PM
that was division 2 AA defense right there, flat out embarrassing.
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:30 PM
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! NO PASS RUSH, NO COVERAGE, AND NOW WE CAN'T TACKLE EITHER. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A SHANNON SUPPORTER, BUT I'M STARTING TO HAVE SERIOUS DOUBTS. HALFTIME ADJUSTMENTS? WHAT DID THEY DO DURING HALFTIME?
Posted by: ILLINOIS CANE | September 07, 2009 at 10:30 PM
talent can only keep you in the game so long
Posted by: scott | September 07, 2009 at 10:31 PM
Ka ... BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM !!!!
Posted by: The END Is NEAR CANE STOOGES ... | September 07, 2009 at 10:31 PM
miggs, canesjunkie, and TXcane; please no more asinine predictions the rest of the way!
Posted by: Russell | September 07, 2009 at 10:31 PM
Whipple has been great. Miami is a HC away from competing. 4 defensive timeouts in the 1st 37 minutes of the game is just embarasing.
Enough of Randy Phillips already. The guy is terrible in pass coverage.
Posted by: Cav | September 07, 2009 at 10:31 PM
UM has the talent, Whipple has a plan but Shannon doesnt have a clue - great guy, he loves UM, great job recruiting but he should not be the UM coach....whoever wants to defend Shannon is just avoiding the inevitable
Posted by: Frendo | September 07, 2009 at 10:32 PM
RANDY DO WE KNOW HOW TO BLITZ?? OR GO TO MAN TO MAN COVERAGE INSTEAD OF THIS ZONE JUNK?
Posted by: BOBH44 | September 07, 2009 at 10:32 PM
at least cooper has some pride!
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:33 PM
It's slipping away now you can just see the momentum shifting to FSU. Their defense is stepping it up and are just too fast for Mia. The only hope we have is to keep it close enough to have them kick a field goal to win. Their kicker couldn't throw it thru the uprights.
Posted by: Canes2win | September 07, 2009 at 10:33 PM
whats the score guys?? the game is not being aired over here, someone please tell me the score!!!
Posted by: Mexicandolfan | September 07, 2009 at 10:34 PM
Kaaa BOOOOOOOOOOOOM !!!
Posted by: The END Is NEAR CANE STOOGES ... | September 07, 2009 at 10:34 PM
Cooper will break a few this season at this pace....glad to have Epps back....Jacory is a big time QB
Posted by: Frendo | September 07, 2009 at 10:34 PM
23-14 noles, miami on goaline
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:35 PM
nice play. JH is overrated.
Posted by: UM will soon get a new coach | September 07, 2009 at 10:36 PM
hopefully the defense can do something..really i dont remember the last time the made a big play late in the game...how many timeouts will they use this defensive possesion?
Posted by: scott | September 07, 2009 at 10:37 PM
this is embarrassing, what dumb play calls, we cant punch it in from that close, throw 2 balls away and then run a delayed pitch, WHY R WE RUNNING SIDEWAYS ON THE GOALINE!!!??????
UNBELIEVABLE.

Since BC, VT and UM went to the ACC, UM (and FSU) have not performed well, but UV and UM have. Why? I believe that is because the addition of USF by the Big East into that BCS conference has watered down the recruiting in the state of Florida considerably. It may even effect UF's recruiting too, although they are probably more immune to the problem since most good recruits probably prefer the SEC, but who knows?
I don't see FSU or UM winning their divisions, let alone the conference, in the next 10 years, if ever now. I understand that Miami wanted to be in the ACC for it's more traditional rivals I guess, and to save some $, but I hope it was worth drastically reducing their chances of winning another national championship over, because I bet that's what happened the second that USF became a BCS team. For y'all's sake, I hope I'm wrong.
Pretty ironic that the ACC's power brokers are now going to be mediocre. It's getting more than a few snickers in Big East land though....

Thankyou Ronnie Bron MVP, please if anyone can keep me updated ill be very thankfull!! and this sunday GO PHINS!!!
Posted by: Mexicandolfan | September 07, 2009 at 10:38 PM
Sorry, that should read that VT and BC have performed well since coming to the ACC.
Posted by: BigEastFan | September 07, 2009 at 10:39 PM
big kr, miami kick coverage team does not stay in their lanes
Posted by: scott | September 07, 2009 at 10:40 PM
UM's best coverage guy is their kicker. That guy is great. It would be really nice if someone else could tackle on the kicking team.
Posted by: UM will soon get a new coach | September 07, 2009 at 10:40 PM
can we please blitz off the corner and get on ponders arse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:41 PM
i should coach the defense
Posted by: scott | September 07, 2009 at 10:41 PM
what happened to man-to-man defense??? The tight end was wide open.
Posted by: Master Chief | September 07, 2009 at 10:41 PM
score!!! please!??!?!?
Posted by: Mexicandolfan | September 07, 2009 at 10:42 PM
if we win it will be because FSU blows it. our coverage is flat out TERRIBLE. and ponder has about 15 seconds in the pocket, for the love of god blitz!
Posted by: RONNIE BROWN MVP | September 07, 2009 at 10:43 PM
UM's kicker should play defense. He rocks.
Posted by: UM will soon get a new coach | September 07, 2009 at 10:43 PM
whoo a big play
Posted by: scott | September 07, 2009 at 10:43 PM
